Tanner

B.M. University of Louisiana Lafayette

Tanner is a guitarist and multi-instrumentalist. Tanner started music at five and has been studying and performing music for 22 years. Tanner studied jazz guitar and classical violin in college. Tanner performs in a wide variety of bands around Austin. He also works as a studio/session musician for rock, indie, jazz, hip hop, and pop artists all over the country. 

A word from Tanner: 

“I believe the most beautiful part of music is that we, as musicians, have the opportunity to share our knowledge with others. It is my mission to teach how music works and the beauty of playing the instrument. I look forward to helping you on your musical journey and to share the joy of music!”

Nathan

M.M. San Francisco Conservatory of Music

Nathan studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. There he worked closely with one of the greatest guitarists and teachers of all time, David Tanenbaum, who provided Nathan with insights into the guitar’s inner workings and the best ways of teaching those to others. He graduated from the Conservatory with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in guitar performance.

A word from Nathan: 

“I started Lone Star Guitar Academy to create students who love to listen to, play, and perform music. Creating a love of music in every student is why I teach. I love seeing kids learn a song they love and have their first “aha” moment on the guitar. Getting people better on the instrument and seeing where it takes them is why I teach. Can’t wait to start you on your musical journey!”


Jordan

Jordan is a devoted composer, guitarist, and teacher. He began playing as a child in Detroit, Michigan. He fell in love with music and started a band. Jordan's been a student of music since the beginning and never stops learning. This interest continues to inspire him to learn all different kinds of music. He regularly performs with his band and teaches around Austin.


A word from Jordan: 

“I would love to teach you music. No matter your age, I can help you learn anything you want. Any genre, any song, and any skill level. Together, we will break down the methods to help you become a confident musician!”

B.M. University of Texas Austin

Ian is an Austin, TX-born and based composer and multi-instrumentalist. He's studied with lots of great guitar players. This includes John Dearman (Los Angeles Guitar Quartet), Molly Miller (Black Eyed Peas), and Adam Holzman at the UT Austin. Ian is fluent in every style. In addition to teaching, Ian is an active performer and composer.

Sloan

B.M. University of Texas- Austin

Sloan is a guitar player and multi-instrumentalist raised in the DFW area. Sloan has studied guitar performance for well over a decade. And Sloan was taught by the renowned jazz faculty of the University of Texas at Austin. Sloan also teaches and performs a wide variety of disciplines ranging from rock & roll to soul.

Paulina

D.M.A. University of Texas

Paulina was born in Croatia. Here she started her musical education and gained her first performing experiences. She came to the U.S. to study with Adam Holzman at UT. She loves performing and competing in compeitions. And her playing is informed from years of teaching students of all ages and levels.
