2022-2023 Private Lesson Policies
1. What's Included:
A weekly lesson time with your teacher. Exceptions include holidays. Please see our calendar at: http://lonestarguitarlessons.com/calendar
Two (2) recital performance opportunities a year either in person or virtually.
One free intro lesson per student.
2. 100% satisfaction guarantee:
We want to you to be completely happy with your lesson. If you are not, let us know. We promise to do everything in our power to make you happy with your experience. If a lesson is not up to your standards, we will give you a 100% refund for the lesson. Our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee only applies to the last lesson you had with us.
3. Monthly Lessons:
Payment is charged at the beginning of the month for the full amount. The student will then have until the end of the month to use the lessons for that month. By signing up for a monthly plan you agree to allow us to charge your credit card on first of each month.
The number of lessons per month vary according to the calendar and the day of the student’s lesson. Most months have 4 weeks, so most months each student will have 4 lessons. Some months ( July and December) only have 3 weeks. So each student will have 3 lessons. Some months have 5 weeks (August), so there would be 5 lessons per month. Every month is charged the same regardless of amount of lessons per month. Standard rates are listed below:
211 per month for 30 minute lessons
281 per month for 45 minute lessons
331 per month for 60 minute lessons
Each student receives one lesson per calendar week. See the Calendar to understand how many lessons are in each month. All monthly plans are charged the same each month regardless of number of lessons.
Students can make changes to their lesson time/day. Lone Star Guitar Academy must be notified during business hours at least 24 hours before any change is wanted to be made. All changes must be made by email or calling us during business hours. No make up or change will happen and the lesson will count as a "no show" for the student/payee if this is not done. Please notify us via (PlayMusic@lonestarguitarlessons)or call 512-774-4741 for such changes.
There is one opportunity to reschedule or make up a lesson. No change, make-up, or refund will be given to a lesson that has already been rescheduled.
Single Lessons can be done in lieu of the monthly plan. If you wish to switch to single lessons for any month, you must notify us via email (PlayMusic@lonestarguitarlessons) at least seven days before the charge date (first of each month). The rates are:
One 30 minute lesson: $63
One 45 minute lesson: $83
One 60 minute lesson: $99
4.Payment:
All lessons are prepaid ahead of time. For individual lessons, it's 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time. And for monthly, it's on the first of the month. You agree to allow us to charge your card with these parameters.
All customer’s must have their credit card information on file. For individual lessons you are charged 24 hours before every lesson. For monthly lessons, you are charged the 1st of eah month. A credit card must be on file in both cases.
Any payment changes must be communicated to Lone Star Guitar Academy in writing. Please email (PlayMusic@lonestarguitarlessons.com) us to make such changes. All changes must be known in writing at least 7 days before the proposed change would take effect.
5. Cancellation:
A 7-day notice before the beginning of the new month is required if you wish to cancel your monthly plan. A minimum of a 24 hours must be given to cancel a single lesson. This must be in writing to Lone Star Guitar Academy via email.
Cancellation is effective the 1st of the month following one's written cancellation notice. You may withdraw the cancellation at any time before it takes effect. But your teacher and/or time slot cannot be guaranteed.
6. Attendance:
Students who are late for a lesson cannot be guaranteed their full lesson time.
Teachers who arrive late for the lesson will still be provided the time paid for. For example, if you paid for a 30 minute lesson, you will still receive the 30 minute lesson. If any teacher is late to your scheduled lesson time, please let us know via email. We will do everything to make the experience right with you.
7. Missed Lessons:
A make-up lesson is issued when a lesson is cancelled with at least 24-hour advance written notice via email (PlayMusic@lonestarguitarlessons).
If you can't make a lesson and need to do a make-up, that's fine (please remember our 24-hour Cancellation Policy above). Please contact us at PlayMusic@lonestarguitarlessons to let us know about the lesson(s) you will miss.
In the case of Lone Star Guitar Academy and/or one of our teachers cancelling a lesson, a make-up lesson will be guaranteed or a full refund given.
Make-up or rescheduled lessons cannot be rescheduled.
8. Childcare:
Lone Star Guitar Academy is not responsible for providing before or after class care for students.
9. Injuries:
You assume all risk of injury of harm to the child(ren) or adult(s) associated with participation in musical activities with Lone Star Guitar Academy. You agree to release, indemnify, defend, and forever discharge Lone Star Guitar Academy and its administers, teachers, and staff from all liability, claims, demands, damages, costs, and expenses in the unlikely event of injury sustained by your child(ren) or adult student(s) during the course, or as a result, of their participation in Lone Star Guitar Academy’ musical lessons and/or activities.
10. Photo/Video Release:
Unless requested in writing, Lone Star Guitar Academy is granted permission to take photographs/videos of the students to use in brochures, websites, posters, advertisements, and other promotional materials Lone Star Guitar Academy creates. Permission is also hereby granted for Lone Star Guitar Academy to copyright such photographs in its name.
Policies are effective upon enrollment to any monthly plan and/or single lesson.
